Last week, Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) moved a 145tn mining crane from France to the Siberian city of Novokuznetsk.
The project was organised with very close cooperation between AGL Germany and their colleagues at AGL Russia (AGL’s Russian offices are located in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Vladivostok). The transport involved a pre-carriage by truck to the German Baltic port of Kiel, a smooth reloading there from the trucks to Mafi trailers, shipping on Mafi trailers by Baltic ferry to St. Petersburg, another re-loading in St. Petersburg back onto trucks and finally the inland delivery in Russia to Novokuznetsk – which was a road transport distance of almost 4,500km.
As well as the above, AGL were also responsible for the inspections, surveys, supervision and the customs clearance in both Germany and Russia for this sensitive high-tech machine.
Alexander Global Logistics are PCN members in Germany, Russia and Mongolia.
