Brunel Project Cargo are PCN members in the UK and were recently pleased to handle a 36tn MRI magnet from its current location to its temporary home 300 miles away. The magnet is in its raw state and will be worked on, painted and then exported to its new hospital.
The Brunel project team carried out the jacking and skating to move the machine outside of the building (pictured above) and it was then lifted via crane onto the vehicle. The complete operation was carried out and supervised by Brunel Project Director, James Philpott.
The magnet was discharged effectively, finalising another successful move for Brunel Projects who are looking forward to the next stage of exporting the magnet to its new home later this year.
James Philpott adds that he has handled many ‘Life Science’ shipments in the last 8 years travelling the world overseeing projects in Puerto Rico, Mexico, the USA, the UK, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and many more.
Brunel are currently handling several smaller MRI magnets to the USA. If you have any similar requests or for any project cargo and heavy lift requirements, please contact James on firstname.lastname@example.org.
