Polaris Handles Construction Equipment for Time-Bound Project
The experts at Polaris Shipping Agencies were recently called upon to handle a shipment of 450mt / 1,900cbm of construction equipment from the suppliers yard in the UAE to Port Zeebrugge in Belgium for a time-bound project.
Taking into consideration the time taken for refurbishing the machines, Polaris worked in close relations with carriers and negotiated a deal to have one of their vessels make an inducement call into Zeebrugge after her discharge in Durban in South Africa. This meant the shipment could begin as soon as the required mechanical work was completed and the delivery deadline in Europe will be met. Polaris would like to thank their carriers for their support considering the long-standing mutual relations.
The scope of services provided by Polaris included:
- Coordinating & liaising for all mechanical repairs
- Dismantling of equipment for painting & assembly back for shipment
- Steam cleaning & painting to receivers required standard
- Pre-carriage to Port Jebel Ali & all related FOB operations
- Ocean freight to Zeebrugge, Belgium
