Ryano Logistics Deliver Power Station Project to Zambia

We are pleased to announce Ryano Logistics as a new PCN member in the Netherlands. Many of our members will already know Ryano as they have been valued PCN members in Peru since 2014. The company runs a dedicated project cargo and heavy lift division titled Ryano Projects.

Pieter van der Weijden (CEO) states; “The Ryano Projects division started in 2007 and was created to provide our clients with a complete service that utilised the knowledge in our local offices. We are based in Moerdijk, close to Rotterdam & Antwerp, with a dedicated team who are always working on finding the best solutions in logistics and have a wide experience in a range of different projects around the world.

Shipping, forwarding, breakbulk, and OOG cargo is the daily business of Ryano Projects. We are mainly focussed on the oil & gas, mining and construction industries and as well as this, Ryano has been involved for many years in the handling of event industries such as the Asian Games in Doha, 2012 UEFA European Football Championship and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio.”

A recent project successfully completed by Ryano at the end of December 2015 involved 20 SOC containers shipped to Zambia for a 25mgw temporary power station. The cargo consisted of many types of power station equipment including generators, transformers & fuel tanks and was transported to Zambia from various locations in Europe (the Netherlands, Belgium & Spain) and the Middle East. All paperwork, transport, customs clearance, shipping and door-to-door delivery to Southern Zambia was managed by Ryano. A photo of the project site is shown above.
