Tera Shipping with Mutliple Project Cargo

Tera Projects & Shipping recently embarked on several successful project cargo. Please read below for more information:

1. Deaerator Tank – Storage Tank & Accessories

POL: Port Klang
POD: Casablanca
Dimensions: 6 x 2.4 x 2.9 m / 12 x 4.2 x 4.5 m
Weight: 10 tonne / 35 tonne

Scope of Work: First, Tera Shipping collected the said units from client’s premises and delivered them to Westports, Port Klang. Tera then utilised a two-vessel bridge trailer to load both the Deaerator and storage tank with the accessories in accordance to its dimension and weight.

Tera experienced some obstacles during the journey such as traffic due peak hours, narrow turning roads, and highway tolls, but they managed to overcome the difficulties with their escort and professional team which were well trained for handling such circumstances and oversize cargo at anywhere and anytime. Cargo was sent for direct loading.

2. Deaerator Tank – Storage Tank & Accessories

POL: Port Klang
POD: Pennsylvania, USA
Dimensions: 18 x 5.1 x 9.9 m (x2)

Scope of Work: First, Tera Shipping collected the said units from client’s premises and delivered them to Westports, Port Klang. Tera then utilised a two-unit multi-axle trailer and a one-unit crane to load both the Deaerator and storage tank with the accessories in accordance to its dimension and weight.

Tera Shipping faced challenges on delivery as there were hurdles of power and communication cables. After all formalities were completed with the authorities, Tera were permitted entry to the Port and subsequently the loaded trailers were escorted by the Port Police through container zones until they reached the nominated wharf of conventional zone.

The Captain at the Port refused to load the Storage Tank and steel plate together, which was already fixed to the bottom of the cargo and requested that they remove prior to loading the vessel.

Tera’s logistics team immediately removed the steel plates from the bottom of the cargo after liaison with concerned parties and replaced with wooden blocks in order to avoid the damaging the nozzle of the cargo during loading.
