Delta Maritime in Greece are pleased to share these photos of a recent large project they have handled involving heavy process equipment shipped to Baku, Azerbaijan. The units measured 65m in length with a 5.5m diameter and weighed 200tns.
“Following years of stagnation in the area and particularly in Greece, we are now experiencing a strong market growth driven mainly by energy and transport infrastructures! Thermal power plants, renewables, electric power networks, sub sea HV interconnectors and natural gas pipe lines to mention just a few! They affect mainly imports from the EU and Americas but also exports to the EU and third countries.
As well as the above, the exploration era is about to start up in Greece with the first oil and gas offshore explorations at RFI stage while the East Mediterranean is already a mature market with 6-9 offshore wells scheduled already for 2020!
