Polaris Completes Delivery of Construction Equipment to Sharjah
The projects division at Polaris Shipping Agencies (members in the UAE) recently completed the door delivery of approximately 2,000mt (7,200cbm) of project cargo consisting of construction equipment from Port Mazatlan in Mexico to Hamriyah Yard, Sharjah.
The shipment arrived on MV. BBC California and Polaris had full control of the operation and completed to the full satisfaction of the receivers. The Polaris project team closely coordinated with the port authorities to ensure that all formalities were completed prior to the vessel’s arrival to ensure the direct receiving of the entire units directly on to their positioned trailers ‘under hook’ to avoid multiple handling.
The Polaris operation team at the receiver’s site also ensured that the discharge of the units from their trailers was coordinated safely and on time to ensure that the vessel was fed with enough returning empty trailers to receive more units as fast as the vessel could discharge.
