Polaris Complete Project Shipment of Heavy Shredder
Polaris Shipping are very pleased to report the completion of their latest project, involving the delivery of a Lynx Heavy Shredder complete with a motor-driven machine.
The motor-driven machine was dismantled locally in the United Arab Emirates before being transported to a new premises located around fifty-five kilometres from the Port of Houston in the United States.
Polaris’ experienced project team were awarded the relocation project of the shredder. The company’s scope of work included identifying each item against a material list provided by OEM engineers, dismantling of OOG packages, industrial packaging for safe transport, marking individual items, pre-carriage operations as well as final transportation to the client’s door.
The project, completed under a strict delivery schedule, was shipped with the base machine of 54 MT as break bulk on a container vessel, alongside balance packages of approximately 1,980 freight tons, which were stuffed and lashed suitably in assortments of 40’ high cubes, open tops and flat racks to ensure the cargo is within their client’s budget, whilst also not compromising on the delivery deadline.
Since the OEM engineers at the destination required the items to be delivered to the client’s site using a pre-advised sequence, Polaris’ team coordinated a shipping plan in-line with the sequence to minimise delays for the shredder’s installment.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to all stake holders for their support and timely execution.”
